Memphis basketball is set to start summer workouts on Tuesday, and most of the roster is expected to participate.
The team posted a video on X of several players, including Luke Almadovar, Brandin Cummings, Tylik Weeks, Jerry Deng, Corneilous Williams, Maxim Logue and William Whorton. All of those players were seen in the video on campus, so it’s safe to say those seven players will participate in workouts.
Josh Holloway, Jayden Reid, Rihards Vavers, Julius Thedford and the three freshmen weren’t in the video or pictures that the program posted of players on campus, but that doesn’t mean they won’t participate in workouts.
There have been questions surrounding four-star commit Fred Smith Jr. over the last few weeks. Smith committed on April 9, but he has yet to sign.
It has been reported he hasn’t signed yet because of money, and it will be interesting to see if he is with the team on Tuesday.
According to The Commercial Appeal's Jason Munz, Penny Hardaway said that 13 of the 14 players are on campus. Jayden Reid is the only player not yet with the team.
