After winning the first game on Friday, Memphis secured the series win on Sunday with a 10-5 win over UTSA.

The Roadrunners took an early lead in the first inning, but the Tigers responded with a pair of runs in the fourth and fifth innings to take the lead. UTSA responded with three runs in the top of the sixth inning, but the Tigers topped that with eight runs in the bottom of the frame.

In the sixth inning, Memphis' first six batters got on base before the first out, and a few batters later, James Smith IV hit a three-run homer to give the Tigers a 10-4 lead.

The Roadrunners added a run in the seventh inning, but they were held scoreless over the final two innings by Davis Oswalt.

Rushing recorded the win, his second of the season, and the Tigers improved to 21-29 overall and 12-12 in conference play. Memphis has won five of its last six games, and it sits in a tie for fifth place with Florida Atlantic.

Only the top eight teams make it to the American Conference tournament, and the Tigers will wrap up the regular season on the road against Charlotte. While the weekend series starts on Thursday, Memphis will play one final mid-week game on Tuesday against Middle Tennessee.
