FAU transfer Maxim Logue committed to Memphis on Tuesday, filling the 14th spot on the Tigers’ 2026-27 roster. He’s the first transfer portal addition since Corneilous Williams committed on May 1.

Logue originally committed to North Carolina earlier this offseason, according to Jonathan Givens, but he has flipped his commitment to the Tigers. The 6-foot-9 forward appeared in 28 games for the Owls, averaging 11.2 minutes and 4.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.5 blocks per game.

Logue’s best game came in March against Charlotte when he recorded 16 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks and three steals in a 77-76 overtime win. The Frenchman played only 18 total minutes in two game against the Tigers.

In FAU’s home game, he recorded six points, seven rebounds and three steals against Penny Hardaway’s team.

Logue started his collegiate season at Oregon State, but he only averaged 6.6 minutes in 21 games off the bench.

With the Owls, the forward shot 67.4 percent from the field, and he had a true shot percentage of 65.9 percent. Most of his shots came around the basket, and he averaged 15.8 paint points per 40 minutes, ranking in the 98th percentile.

Logue has shown he has the potential to be an impressive rebounder, especially with more playing time, and he averaged 6.4 offensive rebounds per 40 minutes, ranking in the 99th percentile. The forward used those offensive rebounds to become a second-chance threat, averaging 5.9 second-chance points per 40 minutes, ranking in the 98th percentile.

The FAU transfer can also make an impact on both ends of the court, and he had a slightly positive defensive regularized adjusted plus-minus. Logue recorded two or more blocks in four games this season and at least one steal in 10 games, including a pair of games with three steals.

The forward gives Penny Hardaway’s team more rebounding and another piece in the frontcourt. He’s also the 14th player committed to next season’s team.

Last week, Hardaway told Dave Woloshin in an interview that he would likely stick with 14 players unless “something sweet comes into play.” It will be interesting to see if this wraps up the 2026-27 roster, or if Hardaway will use the 15th spot to bring in more size in the frontcourt.

Memphis has some great rebounding options with Williams and Logue, but they currently don’t have a player taller than 6-foot-9 on the roster. There are still some intriguing big men options in the transfer portal, and Hardaway could look to bring in one more frontcourt piece with the final roster spot.
