Memphis continues to build its roster, having announced the signings of three new players over the last two days. The Tigers announced punter Harrison Tuck, defensive lineman Jabari Ishmael and tight end Aiden O’Callaghan.
While they announced three new players from the transfer portal, they also officially announced the signings of Dilan Williamson and Jemyri Davis, who previously committed to the team.
Tuck is from Mt. Crawford, South Australia, and has spent the last three seasons at Alabama State. The punter didn’t play American football prior to arriving at Alabama State, but he averaged 41.85 yards per punt last season for the Hornets.
After being Alabama State’s starter for the last three seasons, Tuck joins the Tigers with one year of eligibility remaining.
Ishmael joins Memphis as the fourth school he’s played for in his collegiate career. The defensive lineman started his career at Miami, but he only appeared in one game during his two seasons with the Hurricanes.
He transferred to Marshall, where he appeared in 22 games over a two-year span. He followed Charles Huff to Southern Miss prior to last season, and it appears he will follow his coach again for his final year of eligibility.
Ishmael recorded 21 tackles, 0.5 sacks and 2 pass deflections for the Golden Eagles last season.
O’Callaghan joins Memphis after two seasons with Weber State, where he appeared in four games as a true freshman before taking a redshirt. He was listed on the Weber State roster as a linebacker, but the Tigers announced him as a tight end.
His social media bio lists him as a linebacker and tight end, and it appears Memphis will allow him to play tight end, rather than on the defensive side of the ball. O’Callaghan didn’t appear in any games during the 2025 season, and he has four seasons of eligibility remaining.
With the recent additions, the Tigers are up to 53 signees since the transfer portal opened, and a majority of those players join the program with prior collegiate experience.
