Memphis continued its busy Sunday by adding wide receiver Jemyri Davis from the transfer portal. Davis commits to Charles Huff’s team after spending the 2025 season at Kansas State, and he became the fourth player to commit or sign with the team on Sunday.

Davis started his collegiate career at Trinity Valley Community College, where he played two seasons. During his sophomore campaign, Davis recorded 536 yards and six touchdowns in nine games.

During his sophomore season, Davis recorded 244 yards and three touchdowns on eight receptions in a road game against Cisco College.

Following his sophomore season, Davis was rated the No. 6 JUCO wide receiver in the class of 2025 and signed with Kansas State. The wide receiver played in only four games during the 2025 season, according to Pro Football Focus, and he finished with 8 yards on two receptions.

At 6-foot and 172 pounds, the Fort Worth product is a smaller wide receiver who uses his speed to beat defensive backs downfield, and he’s shown that he can be a nice option as a screen-pass target.

Davis visited Memphis over the weekend and wrapped it up by committing to the team. He becomes the fifth wide receiver to commit to the Tigers from the transfer portal, and he’s the first to commit since Terrell Timmons Jr. signed with the program on January 11.

Memphis also signed high school prospect Joshua Joseph earlier in the week, who flipped from Southern Miss after signing during the early signing period.

Davis will have two years of eligibility, according to his social media page.

While Memphis has not officially announced his signing, the Tigers now have 49 players who have either signed or committed since the transfer portal opened. Davis joins cornerback Dilan Williamson as players who have committed but had to be officially announced as signees.

While most of the 49 players join the program via the transfer portal, Huff and his staff have flipped three high school prospects who were previously signed to Southern Miss.
