On Wednesday, the NFL released its full list of players invited to the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine. 319 prospects were invited to participate in the event that runs from February 23 through March 2, and offensive linemen Travis Burke and Chris Adams will represent the Tigers in Indianapolis.
57 offensive linemen were invited to the combine, but only three players were invited from group of five schools. Outside of the two Tigers, Boise State’s Kate Casey was the only other non-Power Four invite on the offensive line.
Both Adams and Burke joined Memphis out of the transfer portal, and both played massive roles on the offensive line this season.
Adams joined the program ahead of the 2024 season after spending three years at Old Dominion. The offensive tackle played in 15 games in three seasons with the Monarchs, and he allowed only six sacks in 941 snaps.
Adams quickly became one of the Tigers’ best offensive linemen, and he had the best run-blocking and third-best pass-blocking grade on the team in 2024, according to Pro Football Focus. Adams allowed 15 hurries and didn’t give up a sack in 958 sacks in 958 snaps at left tackle.
In 2025, Adams made 12 starts at left tackle and allowed nine sacks and 16 hurries in 843 snaps. The offensive tackle served as a captain for the team, and he earned an invite to the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl and was named to the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl Top 300 following the season.
Burke started his career at FCS Gardner-Webb before transferring to FIU before the 2023 campaign. The offensive tackle played 929 snaps in two seasons with the Runnin’ Bulldogs and allowed only four sacks in that span.
At FIU, Burke mainly played left tackle, but he had similar success on the other side of the center. The Hollywood, Florida, native gave up nine sacks in 1,061 snaps in two years before entering the transfer portal again and landing at Memphis.
In his lone season with the Tigers, Burke returned to right tackle and posted an 84.5 offensive pass grade, according to Pro Football Focus. The offensive lineman started 11 games before suffering a season-ending injury, missing the last two games of the year.
Burke also received an invite to the East-West Shrine Bowl following his successful season with the Tigers.
It’s the second year in a row that Memphis has sent two players to the NFL Scouting Combine after Seth Henigan and Roc Taylor both received invites last year. The combine returns to Indianapolis later this month and will air on the NFL Network.
