Memphis has offered many players in the class of 2027, and with summer right around the corner, they will start hosting players on official visits. Several players took unofficial visits during the spring, but the next few months will give Charles Huff and his staff a better opportunity to host players on campus.
After looking at the entire offense and the edge rushers, it’s time to look at the offensive linemen. There are 21 players who hold offers from the Tigers, and here’s a look at the first seven players with offers from the new staff.
Sam LeJeune (Poplarville, MS)
LeJeune was offered by the previous staff, but defensive line coach Eric Mathies gave him an offer at Southern Miss. LeJeune is a four-star prospect, and he’s ranked the No. 12 defensive lineman in the class.
Last season, he recorded 22 tackles for loss and seven sacks, and he has four official visits set with Auburn, California, Florida State and LSU.
Jasper Ngokwere (Richardson, TX)
Ngokwere is another player who was offered by the previous staff, but Huff offered him a few months later. The defensive lineman plays both sides of the ball and is rated a four-star prospect.
The defensive lineman has five official visits scheduled, all with Power Four programs, and it looks like a long shot for the Tigers to land him.
Eric Vaulx Jr. (Lake Cormorant, MS)
Like LeJeune and Ngokwere, Vaulx was offered by Ryan Silverfield’s staff, but Huff and his staff offered him with the Golden Eagles. Vault is a three-star recruit and the No. 15 player in Mississippi, and he currently holds 16 offers.
The defensive lineman recorded 75 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and six sacks last season. He has already scheduled four official visits with three SEC schools and Florida State.
Tyler Alexander (Wellington, FL)
Memphis offered Alexander in January, and the four-star, according to 247Sports Composite rankings, holds 37 offers. The defensive lineman has a slew of Power Four offers, and he has four official visits scheduled with Colorado, Georgia, Notre Dame and Texas.
The defensive lineman recorded 46 tackles, 20 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in 11 games last season.
Jason Lewis (Kissimmee, FL)
The Tigers offered Lewis in April, and he has announced nine more offers since receiving one from Huff’s staff. Lewis is a three-star recruit, and he holds offers from 29 schools.
He has visits scheduled with Mississippi State, Florida State, Syracuse and Duke, and he’s set to announce his commitment on July 10.
Brayden White (Shepherd, TX)
Memphis re-offered White in early February, but he didn’t include the Tigers in his top six. The defensive lineman recorded 24 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and eight sacks in nine games last year.
Sean Saint Fleur (Hyattsville, MD)
Saint Fleur picked up an offer from the Tigers in January, and he holds 24 offers. The three-star has set up four official visits with Missouri, Virginia Tech, Penn State and Cincinnati, and it’s unclear if Memphis will be able to land a visit.
