2027 Memphis cornerback offers part 4

After looking at most of the cornerbacks in the class of 2027, it’s time to break down the final five prospects with offers from Memphis. Charles Huff and his staff have turned most of their attention to the class of 2027 and will begin hosting visitors over the next few weeks.

Huff talked a lot about the defensive backs during his introductory press conference, and his defensive style should be one that many cornerbacks would want to play in. Last season at Southern Miss, Huff’s team led the country in interceptions and were top five in turnover margin and turnovers gained.

The Tigers’ defense will focus on takeaways, and it appears Huff and his defensive staff know the type of players to best fit their game plan.

Kylan Baker (Moody, AL)

Baker received an offer from Memphis on May 12, and he now holds 16 offers, according to his X account. It appears he made a few unofficial visits in the spring, but he hasn’t scheduled any official visits yet.

As a junior, Baker recorded 44 tackles and two interceptions in 14 games.

Dallas Stallings (Nashville, TN)

Stallings has seven offers, and the Tigers offered him in early April. The 5-foot-10 cornerback isn’t ranked by 247Sports or Rivals, and he hasn’t set up any official visits.

Stallings stars for Ravenwood, and he helped lead them to a 14-1 record last season. He doesn’t have any stats recorded for his junior season on Maxpreps, but he recorded three tackles in 11 games, according to the website.

Julian Haynes (Roswell, GA)

Haynes only has three offers, according to On3, and Memphis offered him in late January. The cornerback has received interest from several teams, and he took at least five unofficial visits during the spring with Louisville, Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech.

Blessed Trinity has starts recorded for only three games, and the cornerback recorded seven sacks in those games during his junior season.

Mehki Jessie (Richardson, TX)

According to his X profile, Jessie holds 20 offers, and Memphis offered him towards the end of April. The 6-foot-1 cornerback took several unofficial visits during the spring, and he has scheduled one official visit with UTEP.

As a junior for Berkner High School, he recorded 42 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 16 pass breakups and an interception.

Nazir Pitchford (Palmetto, FL)

Pitchford is a three-star and the No. 91 cornerback in the class of 2027. He holds 19 offers, and the Tigers offered him on April 29.

According to 247Sports, the cornerback committed to Kansas State in February, but he decommitted from the program in early May. Since decommitting from the Wildcats, Pitchford has scheduled official visits with Pittsburgh, Kansas and North Carolina.
