Charles Huff and his staff spent most of the first two months in Memphis building the 2026 roster, but they’ve now turned their attention to the high school recruiting trail. Huff and his staff have offered a handful of running backs in the class of 2026, including several local prospects.
After looking at the quarterbacks earlier this week, here’s a look at the 2027 running backs the new Tigers’ staff has offered.
Javian Jones-Priest (Arlington, TX)
Memphis offered Jones-Priest on Jan. 28, and he currently holds offers from 29 teams, including Oklahoma State, Oregon and Baylor. The running back ran for 1,154 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior.
Aymaud Sykes (Dry Prong, LA)
Memphis offered Sykes on April 2, and it was the ninth Division I scholarship he has received. Since then, the three-star running back has picked up offers from Cincinnati, Northwestern, Kansas State, UConn, App State and Coastal Carolina.
Anquan Jackson (Ellisville, MS)
Jackson is unranked on both Rivals and 247Sports, but he recorded 1,205 all-purpose yards and 16 total touchdowns last season at South Jones High School. The Tigers offered him on Jan. 25, and he has since received offers from Western Kentucky, Cincinnati and Tulane.
Deron Foster (Valdosta, GA)
The three-star recruit holds 28 offers, and Memphis offered in late January. Foster recorded 1,330 rushing yards and 17 total touchdowns during his junior season.
Kylan Bobo (Tupelo, MS)
The Tigers offered Bobo on Jan. 22, and he has received a pair of Power Five offers since the Tigers showed interest. Bobo, a three-star running back, ran for 1,726 yards and 28 touchdowns last year.
JoJo Accelus (Monticello, AR)
Memphis offered Accelus in late January, and he took an unofficial visit to a Tigers’ spring practice in March. The running back isn’t ranked on 247Sports, but he ran for 2,371 yards and 24 touchdowns last year at Monticello High School.
Omari St. Fort (Delray Beach, FL)
St. Fort isn’t ranked on 247Sports, but he holds 16 offers, including several from the American. He ran for 734 yards and eight touchdowns last year.
Larry Johnson (Collierville, TN)
Memphis offered Johnson in February, and the unranked running back holds 15 offers, including a Power Four offer from Louisville. Johnson played at Germantown last season but transferred to Collierville ahead of his senior season.
Yoshawn Hudson (Winona, MS)
Hudson is a three-star according to 247Sports, but he’s rated a four-star on their composite rankings. The running back ran for 1,544 yards and 22 touchdowns last season, and he recorded 42 tackles on the defensive side of the ball.
Moni Williams (Memphis, TN)
Williams is a top 15 player in the state of Tennessee, and he’s taken official visits to Vanderbilt, Auburn and Tennessee. Williams recorded 2,043 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns over the last two seasons at Memphis Business Academy, but he will finish his high school career at Southwind.
