The NFL offseason is one of the busiest times of the year, and every team around the league is trying to make moves to improve their team. This offseason, multiple Tigers signed new deals, including several heading to new teams.
Memphis has done a nice job of putting players into the NFL, but, more importantly, those players have stuck around at the next level. Here’s a look at which players signed new deals this offseason.
Calvin Austin III (New York Giants)
Austin was drafted by Pittsburgh in 2022, and he spent the last four seasons with the Steelers. Last season, he recorded 372 yards and three touchdowns on 31 receptions, but he battled injuries and only saw action in 14 games.
This offseason, he signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the New York Giants. The contract, which included a $250,000 signing bonus, could be worth up to $4.5 million with incentives.
Austin will join a receivers room with Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, Odell Beckham Jr. and Juju Smith-Schuster, and it will be interesting to see if he can crack the starting lineup.
Dylan Parham (New York Jets)
Parham spent the last four seasons with the Raiders, but he hit free agency this offseason and landed with the New York Jets. The Jets signed the guard to a two-year, $16 million contract, and Ourlads predicts he’ll start at left guard for New York.
Parham has appeared in 64 games and has started 63 of those games. Last season, he received a 64.6 PFF offensive grade after appearing in 843 plays during the 2025 season.
Kenneth Gainwell (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Gainwell was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2021 and spent four seasons with them before heading to Pittsburgh ahead of last year. The running back recorded 2,185 yards and 12 touchdowns in four seasons with the Eagles, and he recorded 537 yards and five touchdowns last year with the Steelers.
He entered free agency this offseason, and he signed a two-year, $14 million contract with the Buccaneers. Gainwell should see a lot of action this season and will likely share carries with Bucky Irving.
Riley Patterson (Miami Dolphins)
Patterson has played for six different teams since starting his career in 2021, and this will be the first season where he’s remained with the same team for two years. The kicker has played for the Lions, Jaguars, Browns, Jets and Falcons, and he had two separate stints with Detroit and Cleveland.
Last season, Patterson went 27-for-29 on field goals, including 3-for-4 from 50+, and he went 34 for 34 on extra points. The kicker will return to Miami on a 1-year, $1.4 million deal.
Patrick Taylor
Taylor started his career in Green Bay before joining the 49ers ahead of the 2024 season. The running back appeared in 13 games in 2024, and he recorded 183 yards and a touchdown on 39 carries.
He returned for the 2025 season, but he was placed on the injury reserve in August. Taylor didn’t appear in any games last season, but he re-signed with San Francisco on a one-year deal.
