Travis Burke and Chris Adams combine results
Memphis had a pair of offensive linemen in Indianapolis last week for the NFL Scouting Combine. Both Travis Burke and Chris Adams accepted invites to the combine after anchoring the Tigers’ offensive line for most of the season.
Burke played 11 games in his lone season at Memphis, and he finished the season with the best run block and pass block grade on the team. Burke transferred to the Bluff City after two years with FIU, and he allowed only three sacks this season for the Tigers.
The offensive tackle logged nearly 2,971 snaps over his five-year collegiate career, and he played primarily on the right side of the offensive line for Memphis.
At the combine, Burke measured at 6-foot-9 and 325 pounds, which is 10 pounds heavier than what he was listed on the Tigers’ official roster. The tackle recorded a 5.17 40-yard dash time, which ranked 28th out of 39, and he posted a 27-inch vertical.
Burke’s broad jump landed at 8-feet, 11-inches, and he received a 5.89 prospect grade, which predicts him as an “average backup or special-teamer.”
Adams also received an invite to the combine, but he didn’t participate in the measurable drills. He measured at 6-foot-5 and 311 pounds, which is 34 pounds more than he’s listed on the Tigers’ roster.
Adams spent two seasons at Memphis and logged 2,745 yards over four years between the Tigers and Old Dominion.
In 2024, the left tackle recorded an 82.8 run-block grade and 81.1 pass-block grade, according to Pro Football Focus. This season, he allowed nine sacks but continued to be one of the leaders on the offensive line.
Receiving invites to the combine gives both a good opportunity to make a team either through the draft or as an undrafted free agent.
