In less than two months, the college football season will kick off, and after a lot of movement, it’s time to look at where some of the Tigers landed in the transfer portal.
Ryan Silverfield took the Arkansas head coaching job in December, and most of the 2025 roster entered the transfer portal. A handful of those players joined Silverfield in Fayetteville, including six offensive players.
Here’s a look at which offensive players followed Silverfiled to Arkansas:
IOL Josiah Clemons
Clemons spent his freshman season at Memphis but transferred to Arkansas for his redshirt freshman campaign. Clemons was a three-star recruit and the No. 29 player in the state of Mississippi.
RB Sutton Smith
Sutton Smith spent the last four seasons with the Tigers, and he will finish his collegiate career with Silverfield in Fayetteville. The running back ran for 1,116 yards and 11 touchdowns over the four years, but he missed nearly all of the 2023 campaign with a torn ACL.
In 2025, he ran for 669 yards and seven touchdowns on 102 carries. According to several preseason magazines, Smith is expected to be the backup running back for the Razorbacks this year.
IOL Malachi Breland
Malachi Breland signed with Memphis in the class of 2023, and he redshirted during the 2023 season. The offensive lineman started seven games as a redshirt freshman and all 12 games he appeared in during his redshirt sophomore campaign.
In 2025, the guard allowed only one sack on 454 opportunities, and he finished the season with a 77.6 pass-block grade from Pro Football Focus.
QB AJ Hill
AJ Hill signed with the Tigers as a four-star recruit in the class of 2025, and he appeared in two games during his true freshman season. He finished the year with 223 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
Most of those stats came from the regular-season loss against UAB. Hill played the entire second half and went 13-for-25 for 175 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
WR Jamari Hawkins
Jamari Hawkins spent four years with the Tigers, and he broke out during the 2025 season. The receiver finished the year with 623 yards and two touchdowns on 38 receptions, and he’ll look to carve out a role at Arkansas next year.
TE Matt Adcock
Matt Adcock transferred to Memphis ahead of the 2025 season after spending two years at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Adcock played in 12 games, starting in seven of the contests, and he finished the year with 70 yards and three touchdowns on 12 receptions.
