Memphis has had a lot of success on the field in recent years, and with this success, they’ve produced a lot of NFL players. With the Tigers on their final off week of the season, it seems like a good time to look at what the Tigers in the NFL are doing.
Tony Pollard (Tennessee Titans)
After being drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Tony Pollard is currently in his seventh season in the league, and he’s now in his second season with the Tennessee Titans.
Pollard has rushed for over 1,000 yards in three straight seasons, and this year he has recorded 502 yards and two touchdowns on 129 carries.
Pollard splits carries with third-year running back Tyjae Spears, but Pollard received a bulk of the carries after Spears missed the start of the season with an injury.
Bryce Huff (San Francisco 49ers)
Bryce Huff went undrafted in the 2020 draft but signed as an undrafted free agent with the Jets. Huff spent four years with the Jets, and he recorded a career-high 29 tackles in 2023 before signing with the Eagles last season.
On June 2, 2025, Philadelphia traded Huff to San Francisco for a mid-round pick. The linebacker has recorded 11 tackles, four sacks and forced two fumbles this year, but he’s missed a couple of games with an injury.
Patrick Taylor Jr. (San Francisco 49ers)
It’s been a roller coaster five years for Patrick Taylor Jr. in the NFL. Taylor signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2020 but spent the entire season on the sidelines with an injury.
In 2021, he started the season on the practice squad but was promoted to the active roster in November, and he made his first career start against the Lions in the final game of the regular season. Taylor spent most of 2022 bouncing back and forth between the practice squad and the active roster before he was released in October.
In 2023, the Patriots signed Taylor to their practice squad before promoting him again to their active roster. He spent all of 2023 in Green Bay before signing with the 49ers ahead of the 2024 season.
Taylor has recorded 444 yards and two touchdowns in 47 games, but he was placed on the injured reserve before the start of the season and hasn’t played a game in 2025.
J.J. Russell (Arizona Cardinals)
J.J. Russell signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent after the 2022 draft. Russell started the season on the practice squad before being promoted to the active roster in late October.
Russell recorded 49 total tackles in three seasons with Tampa Bay, and he signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals before this season. Unfortunately, the linebacker took a scary hit during training camp and has spent the entire season on the IR.
Arthur Maulet (Detroit Lions)
Arthur Maulet has put together a nice career in the NFL, and he’s currently in his ninth season in the league. He has played for six different teams, and he’s currently in his first season with the Detroit Lions.
In 2022, he had a career-high 59 tackles for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and this year he has recorded 14 tackles and an interception for the Lions. Maulet is on a one-year deal.
Jake Elliott (Philadelphia Eagles)
After being drafted in the fifth round of the 2017 draft, Jake Elliott has spent the last nine seasons in Philadelphia with the Eagles. As a part of the team, he has won two Super Bowls and was named to a Pro Bowl and All-Pro second team.
Elliott has only finished under 80 percent on field goals twice in his career, and this season he’s made 84.6 percent of his field goals and all 27 of his extra point attempts.
Dylan Parham (Las Vegas Raiders)
Dylan Parham was drafted in the 2022 draft by Las Vegas, and he’s spent all four years with the Raiders.
He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie team in 2022 after starting every game and playing multiple positions on the offensive line. In his career, Parham has started in 58 games, and he’s allowed 15 sacks in his career.
Riley Patterson (Miami Dolphins)
Riley Patterson went undrafted in the 2021 draft but signed with the Minnesota Vikings shortly after. He suffered an injury and was ultimately released.
After spending some time on the Patriots’ practice squad, Patterson was signed to the Lions’ active roster in November 2021. That season, he played in seven games and went 16-for-16 on extra points and 92.9 percent on field goals.
He didn’t return to the Lions in 2022 and has bounced around for most of his career. Patterson has played for 9 different teams, including both practice squads and active rosters, and he’s currently in his first year with the Dolphins.
This season, he has played in 11 games and is 23-for-24 on extra points and making 89.5 percent of his field goals.
Calvin Austin III (Pittsburgh Steelers)
Calvin Austin III was selected in the fourth round of the 2022 draft, and he has spent four seasons with the Steelers. Austin suffered a foot injury in September after being drafted and was placed on the season-ending IR in October.
After catching 17 passes in his first year on the field, Austin recorded 548 yards and four touchdowns in 2024. This season, the receiver has played in eight games and has 242 yards and two touchdowns on 22 receptions.
Kenneth Gainwell (Pittsburgh Steelers)
Another Tiger with the Steelers is Kenneth Gainwell. Gainwell was picked by the Eagles in the fifth round of the 2021 draft, and he’s now in his first year with the Steelers.
Gainwell recorded five touchdowns as a rookie, but he only recorded seven more over the next three years. Gainwell signed a one-year contract with the Steelers ahead of the 2025 season, and he’s recorded 244 yards and three touchdowns on 61 carries.
Antonio Gibson (New England Patriots)
Antonio Gibson was drafted in the third round of the 2020 draft by the Commanders and spent four years with the Commanders.
In that time, the running back recorded 2,643 rushing yards and 22 rushing touchdowns, while catching 172 passes for 1,283 yards and seven receiving touchdowns. Following the 2023 season, Gibson signed a three-year deal with the New England Patriots, and he recorded 538 yards and a touchdown on the ground last season.
Gibson was named the AFC special teams player of the week following week 2 this season, but he suffered an ACL tear in week five against the Bills and will miss the rest of the season.
Chandler Martin (Baltimore Ravens)
Chandler Martin, one of the more recent Tigers, went undrafted in the 2025 draft but was quickly signed by the Baltimore Ravens.
After recording eight tackles in the preseason, Martin was assigned to the practice squad, where he has spent most of the season. Before last week’s game, Martin was promoted to the active roster, and he recorded a tackle in his debut.
Kobee Minor (New England Patriots/Practice Squad)
Blake Watson (Tennessee Titans/Practice Squad)
