The Miami Hurricanes have a busy schedule approaching with a few prospects making official visits on campus, including four-star commit Ah'Mari Stevens. He's set for the summer, on May 29, but other programs are looking to flip him.
Stevens will meet with the following programs, as reported:
- LSU Tigers; April 18
- Hurricanes; May 29
- Georgia Bulldogs; June 5
- Texas Longhorns; 19
The four-star prospect is ranked 276th nationally, 37th among wide receivers, and 31st in the state of Florida for the class of 2027, according to 247Sports Composite. He currently attends Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School, a private institution in Broward County.
As a junior, Stevens showed great versatility, being utilized offensively, defensively, and with special teams. He caught 23 passes for 312 yards, 13.6 yards per catch, scoring a touchdown in nine games. Definitely, Stevens recorded a single assist tackle.
On special teams, he returned five kicks and four punts, combining for 219 yards.
Stevens committed to the Hurricanes on Jan. 13, 2025. He made a couple of unofficial visits on campus, as well as with the Florida State Seminoles.
The program could become a hot destination for high school recruits, especially at the wide receiver position, after Malachi Toney's historic freshman season. He led the nation with 109 catches for 1,211 yards, scoring 10 touchdowns, playing in all 16 games.
Also, since coach Mario Cristobal took over, there's been a great sense of pride in developing and bringing in players from their own backyard. Toney, star running back Mark Fletcher Jr., and star edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. were just a few notable homegrown talents that brought a tremendous impact for the team last season.
Stevens could carve a similar story with the Hurricanes if he decides to remain committed and not flip. The fact that the three other scheduled official visits are with SEC programs should speak to how highly talented he is.
Longhorns wide receiver coach Chris Jackson is recruiting Stevens on the program's behalf. He secured a commitment from five-star Easton Royal, also part of the 2027 class.
The Tigers hired Lane Kiffin as the program's new head coach, but he's more known for top-tier transfer portal recruitment rather than high school.
Despite a few coaching departures, the Hurricanes still have offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson and wide receiver coach Kevin Beard. Securing Stevens' commitment will be critical to maintaining a competitive future.
