From high-stakes rivalries and legendary championship reunions to an electric "Orangeout" against Florida State, discover the special events and tributes coming to Hard Rock Stadium this season.
Miami, Fla. – Ahead of the 2026-27 college football season and fall camp, the Miami Hurricanes unveiled the themes for seven home games. Following a trip to the West Coast against the Stanford Cardinal, coach Mario Cristobal and the team will step into Hard Rock Stadium for the first time–the home opener–against the Florida A&M Rattlers.
It will be the first time the local fanbase sees the newly constructed team in real-game action, including Missouri transfer edge rusher Damon Wilson II and Duke transfers wide receiver Cooper Barkate and quarterback Darian Mensah.
- UM vs. Florida A&M (8:00 p.m. ET) on Sept. 10
After traveling to North Carolina to face the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, the Hurricanes return home against the Central Michigan Chippewas–where the University of Miami will highlight those in the fight against cancer for Cancer Awareness, in partnership with UHealth. Also, the Hurricanes will welcome back families of students as part of Family Weekend festivities and recognize the undefeated 1991 National Championship team on its 35th anniversary.
- UM vs. Central Michigan (6:30 p.m. ET) on Sept. 26
Following another road trip, this time in South Carolina in an Atlantic Coast Conference showdown against the Clemson Tigers, the team returns to South Florida to host an in-state rival: the Florida State Seminoles. The Hurricanes are asking all fans to wear orange for the “ORANGEOUT!” theme.
There will be a rally towel giveaway for the entire stadium.

The following week, the Hurricanes host the Pitt Panthers, honoring and recognizing the 25th anniversary of the 2001 National Championship team, considered by many the greatest team in college football history. There will be an on-field ceremony.

After back-to-back road games, the Hurricanes will play three consecutive games at Hard Rock Stadium to close the regular season, starting against the Duke Blue Devils. The matchup will bring Homecoming to the Coral Gables campus. Also, Mensah and Barkate will play against their former program, where they helped to deliver an ACC Football Championship.

The following week, the Hurricanes host the Virginia Tech Hokies and honor military veterans for National Veterans and Military Families Month.

The Hurricanes will close the regular season against the Boston College Eagles, when seniors will be recognized for presumably suiting up for the final time at Hard Rock Stadium (depending on the College Football Playoffs). A few notable seniors are running back Mark Fletcher Jr., center Ryan Rodriguez, right tackle Matthew McCoy, and defensive tackle Ahmad Moten Sr.

Make sure to plan accordingly when arriving to Hard Rock Stadium at Miami Gardens–factoring traffic and parking.
- Several Miami Hurricanes baseball players earned All-ACC honors, including a few first-timers.
- The Miami Hurricanes basketball program is reportedly scheduled to open the upcoming season against an in-state rival.
- Coach Mario Cristobal believes the Miami Hurricanes should face an in-state rival every year.
