Explosive four-star wideout Nick Lennear commits, bringing game-changing talent and potent offensive firepower to the Miami Hurricanes.

As the Miami Hurricanes continue to build the recruiting class of 2027, elite starpower was recently added. It was reported on Thursday that four-star wide receiver Nick Lennear committed to the program.

The Florida prospect currently attends Northwestern High School, a public institution located in Miami-Dade County. He caught 62 passes for 1,090 yards, scoring 18 touchdowns in 22 games over three seasons.

Lennear is listed at six feet, 165 pounds, and ranked 26th nationally, sixth in his position, and fifth in the state for the class of 2027, according to Rivals Industry Rankings.

The four-star recruit received interest and offers from numerous programs, including the Florida State Seminoles, Colorado Buffaloes, Georgia Bulldogs, reigning champion Indiana Hoosiers, LSU Tigers, and Oregon Ducks, plus many others.

Lennear made several unofficial visits with the Hurricanes, including attending a couple of games against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Florida Gators, which they won both matchups.

The program has taken great pride in developing homegrown talent, with star wide receiver Malachi Toney being the latest. The 18-year-old led the nation with 81 catches for 1,211 yards, scoring 13 total touchdowns. As Lennear committed, they will have an opportunity to share the field.

It provides extra firepower for offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson's schemes.

Coming off a National Championship appearance, it not only established a new standard, but proved to high school recruits its contention legitimacy. The Hurricanes are building towards more College Football Playoff runs.

However, by the time Lennear is officially on the roster, it will be a question of who will be running the offense. Despite adding All-ACC quarterback Darian Mensah through the transfer portal, he could be a one-and-done situation, similar to Cam Ward and Carson Beck. The 21-year-old has NFL aspirations and is looking to improve his stock.

If the Hurricanes manage to retain Luke Nickel, Dereon Coleman, and secure a commitment from either four-star Israel Abrams or Davin Davidson, it sets the offense up for long-term success, especially with Lennear. He joins the same recruiting class as four-star wide receiver Ah'Mari Stevens, who has an official visit to Coral Gables scheduled for May 29.

The program currently has five commitments for the recruiting class of 2027, with Lennear being the latest. They're all from the state of Florida, including four-star tight end Demarcus Deroche.

It's a new chapter for the Hurricanes, with coach Mario Cristobal building towards a brighter future.
