Texas offensive tackle Kennedy Brown commits to Texas A&M as their third five-star pledge in the 2027 recruiting class.
The Texas A&M Aggies landed their third five-star commit of the 2027 recruiting class, ESPN’s No. 2 offensive tackle Kennedy Brown out of Kingwood, Tex. Brown makes it 11 top-300 pledges who have committed to the Aggies, tying the program with the Oklahoma Sooners for the most in FBS. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound tackle is highly rated by multiple outlets and chose Texas A&M over several SEC contenders, the finalists being the Florida Gators, LSU Tigers, and Tennessee Volunteers after visiting multiple times through spring. The third-year starter at Kingwood High School also competes in track and field.
Brown rounds out a trio of offensive tackle commits in his 2027 class and joins No. 17 defensive end Zyron Forstall and No. 21 Kamarui Dorsey as the third five-star commit. Prior to Brown’s announcement, the Aggies debuted at No. 2 in ESPN’s recruiting class rankings for this cycle. The program has finished in the top 10 in both seasons under coach Mike Elko. There’s a lot of momentum under Elko after leading Texas A&M to its first ever CFP appearance last fall, which boosts the program’s recruiting profile as evidenced in their 2027 recruiting cycle.
Here is the full story from Aggies Roundtable writer Timothy Hamm on the addition of Brown to a star-studded recruiting class.
Texas A&M is still targeting some elite talent on their offensive line, recently hosting five-star OT Mark Matthews on a multi-day visit. Another pair of top targets for the Aggies is four-star guard Albert Simien and Ismael Camara. Brown’s commitment is the latest sign that the program has no plans to slow down as they keep rebuilding for future success.
