Texas A&M added five-star Kingwood offensive tackle Kennedy Brown, giving Mike Elko’s 2027 class another elite in-state pledge.

Texas A&M football keeps stacking elite talent in the 2027 recruiting class, and the latest addition is a big one.

Five-star offensive tackle Kennedy Brown committed to the Aggies on Sunday, choosing Texas A&M over Florida, LSU and Tennessee.

Brown, a 6-4, 285-pound lineman from Kingwood, Texas, is ranked No. 5 overall in the SC Next 300 and is ESPN’s No. 2 offensive tackle in the 2027 cycle.

The pledge gives Mike Elko’s staff another major recruiting win inside Texas. Brown is already set to enter his third season as a starter at Kingwood High School, where he also competes in track and field.

That combination of size, experience and athleticism makes him one of the most coveted offensive linemen in the country.

Brown joins five-star defensive end Zyron Forstall and five-star defensive back Kamarui Dorsey as headline pieces in an Aggies class that continues to gain momentum.

Texas A&M now has 11 SC Next 300 commitments, tied with Oklahoma for the most in the nation.

The offensive line group is especially strong. Brown becomes the Aggies’ third offensive tackle commit in the class, joining Kaeden Scott and four-star Tyler prospect DeMarrion Johnson.

Texas A&M’s 2027 class opened at No. 2 in ESPN’s initial rankings, and Brown’s commitment should only strengthen its position.

Elko has already signed top-10 classes in his first two full recruiting cycles, and the Aggies are coming off their first College Football Playoff appearance.

The work isn’t done, either. Texas A&M remains involved with five-star tackle Mark Matthews and priority four-star guards Albert Simien and Ismael Camara.

For now, Brown gives the Aggies another cornerstone piece up front.
