Northwestern is coming off a 17-14 home win against UCLA in which the 'Cats picked up their first Big Ten victory. After jumping out to a 17-0 lead, NU allowed the Bruins to crawl back into the game, but the Wildcat defense held on to clinch the win.

While the nature of the game may have been discouraging, the 'Cats may have found the blueprint to future success. Gavin and Zach discuss how the team's success on the ground and using play-action can take some of the load off quarterback Preston Stone's shoulders moving forward, as well as other parts of the Wildcats' offense they'd like to see more of.

Northwestern (2-2, 1-1 B1G) is set to host Louisiana-Monroe (3-1, 1-0 Sun Belt) on Saturday, October 4, at 2:30 p.m. CT. The 'Cats will then hit the road to take on No. 7 Penn State the following weekend.
