Three potential recruits, two from the 2026 class and one from 2027, are visiting Northwestern this weekend to see the Wildcats take on Purdue this Saturday. Wildcat Report's Louie Vaccher reported the various visits via X over the course of this week.
Northwestern head coach David Braun is still putting together both classes, targeting a wide range of potential players from developmental pieces to highly-ranked recruits. Here's a round up of the players stopping by campus this weekend:
Pruitt is a 2026 receiver out of Arlington, Texas. He's a three-star according to 247Sports, but he's yet to pick up a ranking from Rivals. The 247 site has him as the No. 75 wideout in his class, as well as the No. 60 player from his home state.
The competition for Pruitt is somewhat concerning. Baylor, Arizona and Washington State have all submitted offers. Those programs seem to be the most likely to get him if the Wildcats fail to seal the deal.
According to 247, Northwestern and Washington State are the two programs listed as "warm" under the "interest" tab. But Baylor and Arizona are also solid programs that could provide a challenge should they choose to ramp up their recruiting efforts.
Pruitt stands at 6-foot-1 with a weight of 165 lbs.
Banag is an unranked player in the 2026 recruiting class out of South Carolina, according to 247. He seems like a prospect the 'Cats should have a good chance at convincing to commit.
Rankings are certainly not everything. Banag could certainly pick up a ranking from one of the major recruiting sites, 247 or Rivals, before it's all said and done. But the competition for Banag seems beatable.
Duke has extended an offer, per Rivals, which is a program that might put up a fight. Outside of the Blue Devils, though, Banag's existing offers come mostly from non-power conference schools like Air Force, Army and Appalachian State.
Banag stands at 5-foot-11 and weighs 165 lbs, according to 247.
Allen is also unranked, and he picked up his first power-conference offer from Northwestern earlier this week. He's visited campus before, according to Vaccher, but this will be his first time in Evanston with an official offer on his plate.
The 2027 recruit is a bit of an unknown now, but Braun is getting to him early. There's even more time left in his recruiting cycle, which means more time for rankings to change and other offers to potential roll in should he decide to wait on committing to the 'Cats.
Currently, Rivals lists Eastern Michigan, North Dakota State and North Dakota as his other offers. Allen stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 185 lbs. According to 247, he also plays safety in high school at Notre Dame Academy in Wisconsin.
