Northwestern offered two 2027 three-star recruits yesterday.

Northwestern had quite the recruiting day yesterday, adding two players to their list of outstanding offers, this time both in the 2027 class. Receiver Tre Britton and EDGE Keysan Taylor both received offers from David Braun and co.

Here's everything you need to know about the 'Cats' latest potential recruits:

    WR Tre Britton

Britton is a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports. The site lists him as the No. 70 wide receiver in his class, as well as the No. 10 player out of his home state of Michigan. Standing at 5-foot-10.5 with a weight of 165 lbs, Britton probably currently projects as more of a slot target, but there's also plenty of time for that to change.

Rivals generally agrees with 247 in their evaluation of Britton. The site also lists him as a three-star recruit, the No. 87 receiver and the No. 10 player from Michigan.

The biggest concern for Northwestern here is that his other offers are, well, intimidating. Rivals lists a percentage total on each school with an offer, representing the predicted likelihood that Britton chooses to commit to that school.

Michigan is, unsurprisingly, the leading candidate at 37%. Trailing close behind are Michigan State, Oklahoma, Alabama and North Carolina. So, Northwestern is going to have to compete with the "blue bloods" if it wants to secure Britton.

    EDGE Keysan Taylor

Taylor is also a three-star recruit in the 2027 class, but Northwestern might have better odds with the Illinois product. Taylor is from Rockford, a suburb that's a couple hours outside of Chicago. His proximity to Northwestern might end up being a big deal.

According to 247Sports, Taylor is the No. 25 edge rusher in the class and the No. 12 player in Illinois. Rivals rates him similarly, listing him as the No. 33 EDGE and the No. 9 player from his home state.

The competition for Taylor is still stiff, but it's not as crazy as Britton. Illinois will most definitely be a problem. The Illini have already submitted an offer, and it can be difficult to convince an in-state kid to choose the smaller, private school.

Cincinnati, Indiana and Iowa are also all programs with outstanding offers submitted to Taylor. Rivals suggests Iowa has the best chance of anyone to land the pass rusher, with Illinois a very close second.
