The two best teams in College Football reside a few short hours from each other and they have set up a historic Big Ten Championship.

The Ohio State Buckeyes finished off their perfect regular season on Saturday in Ann Arbor against the Michigan Wolverines, 27-9

For their efforts, they earned the top spot in the final regular-season AP poll ranking. An honor to be celebrated as they went nearly wire to wire after the preseason as the best team in the country.

the Buckeyes, however, weren't the only one who put together a perfect season; just one notch below them is the high flying Indiana Hoosiers

The Hoosiers have taken college football by storm and have cemented themselves as a top program in the country under head coach Curt Cignetti. In his first season as the head coach, Cignetti's squad made the Playoffs. In his second season, they are the second-best team in the country and are looking at a first-round bye in the 2025 playoffs.

Together, these two set up a historic Big Ten Championship that will take place next week in Indianapolis. Never in the history of the conference has there been a Conference Championship Game between the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the country.

    That ends this year.

Both teams feel like they are head and shoulders ahead of the rest of the field, as Ohio State has taken the "just win" approach this season. It's not to say that they have been playing down to their opponents, but they have a very distinct style this season. They are methodical in their attack, take their time, and kill their opponent with efficiency.

Indiana, on the other hand, is pedal to the floor from kickoff to the final whistle and absolutely destroy their opponents. The Hoosiers put it on them early, and they show no mercy.

It's two different styles that have gotten each team to the top of College Football. Now, they face off against each other for the first or likely two times in the next six weeks.

Saturday in Indianapolis will be the appetizer to what is likely to come late in the Playoffs.

The rest of the AP Poll is fairly status quo. Oregon hopped over Texas Tech for the fourth spot, making three of the top-four teams from the Big Ten. The lone SEC team in the top five is Georgia, which checks in at number 3.

Texas A&M was the big mover this week as they fell from No. 3 to Np. 7 after their loss to the Texas Longhorns.

Michigan fell three spots from #15 to #18 after the Buckeyes got done with them.

The stage is set for the Big Ten Championship Game, as No. 1 vs No. 2 will face off for the chance to win the conference title.
