Ohio Star star Jeremiah Smith could be the top pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are looking to keep things rolling this week against Maryland, hoping to grab another win in Big Ten play.

Ohio State has looked very good so far this season, other than a last-second loss to the Texas Longhorns on the road. But the Buckeyes are still seen as one of the top teams in the country, with the offense leading the charge.

This team is led by star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, who has been putting up special numbers once again. Smith has almost been unstoppable this season, breaking records almost weekly for the Buckeyes.

For the year, Smith has recorded 44 receptions for 823 yards and nine touchdowns, giving the Buckeyes a true weapon. Due to the success of Smith, Ohio State has been able to overcome a defense that is still trying to find its footing.

But Smith's performance also has NFL teams interested in his services, and the Buckeyes star is expected to be a top pick in the upcoming draft. Ohio State has produced plenty of stars in the league over the years, and Smith seems to be next in line to join them.

In a new 2027 NFL Mock Draft from Ringer's Todd McShay, Smith gets taken by the Tennessee Titans with the second overall draft pick. The Buckeyes star was taken only behind Arch Manning of Texas, giving the Titans a true weapon to use moving forward.

If Smith were to land in Tennessee, it could change the fortune of the entire franchise since the team already has a franchise quarterback. The Titans have former No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward on the roster, and he would love to have Smith.

The Titans have been missing the big-play wide receiver for Ward, and Smith could be the missing piece to this team. Tennessee has struggled on offense again this season, and Smith would be change to fix that right away.

Smith has the type of talent that can change a team overnight, and any squad that was to land him would instantly see that. Multiple NFL teams could be looking to tank to bring Smith to town, which typically only ever happens for quarterbacks in the league.

But Smith has been so dominant in college that he could create a bidding war between interested teams for draft picks. Smith is easily the top non-quarterback player in the draft, and whichever team gets him will be very happy.
