I'd be willing to bet that even in his wildest dreams, Day couldn't have predicted just how great of a player, teammate and Buckeye Smith has been.
From his very first game at Ohio State, there is an argument to be made that he has been the best player in the sport ever since then.
In Smith's first game against MAC opponent the Akron Zips, he had six catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns, and his career has been off and running.

Smith is going to be a top-5 pick in next year's NFL Draft, with a case to be made that he should be either the first or second overall pick. He is everything that you could want in a wide receiver and even just a football player.
Buckeye fans have been lucky enough to get to watch him for the last two years. While there are only a couple of games left with Jeremiah Smith, it is every reason to take every snap, because we will never see anything like him again.
