Marvin Harrison Jr. is finally on his way out of Arizona to reunite with his college QB, CJ Stroud, so let's look back at their days in Columbus, Ohio.
Marvin Harrison Jr. has had quite the disappointing start to his career in Arizona. It hasn't exactly been the best place to win or the best place to compete, and it has absolutely had a negative impact on the growth of this young NFL prospect.
The truth is that the version of Marvin Harrison Jr. that is running around on the field right now is a hollow shell of the electric, dynamic, and explosive wide receiver we came to know and love at Ohio State.
For Harrison's future, he has but one more chance to prove that the elite player is still somewhere inside him and that he has what it takes to be an elite player. The positive for Harrison is that after this trade to Houston, he gets to reunite with a familiar face, his former quarterback, CJ Stroud.
Having that connection already baked into the new relationship will go a long way for the young wide receiver as he looks to revive his NFL career.
For him to get some confidence back into his game, hopefully he goes back and watches some of their best days together as Buckeyes.
3. 2022 Rose Bowl, Ohio State 48 Utah 45
This game is affectionately known as the Jaxon Smith-Njigba game to all Buckeyes and Buckeye fans, and rightfully so. It was JSN's biggest game, and Harrison Jr.'s coming-out party was lost in the sauce as well.
In the old days, the non-Playoff Bowl Games were always a showcase for the Buckeyes to see who was next in the wide receiver room. All of the superstar players made their names the year before the year in garbage time, wherever it landed.
In Pasadena, Harrison went 6 catches for 71 yards and 3 total touchdowns, and he had officially arrived in Columbus.
2. 2023 Sugar Bowl, Ohio State 41 Georgia 42
Every Buckeye fan remembers this game for one of two reasons. Either they remember the New Year's kick, or they remember when Harrison, who was absolutely balling out, took a head-on hit in the back of the end zone that knocked him out of the football game.
Until that point, Harrison Jr. had 5 catches for 106 yards and two scores. He was killing the dogs up and down the field.
1. 2022 Ohio State 44 Penn State 31
The Buckeyes were taking on the No. 13-ranked Nittany Lions, who had an upset on the mind in early November. Harrison Jr. and Stroud had other plans. Harrison Jr. went 10 catches for 185 yards as he led the Buckeyes to their biggest win of the year.
It was tough to choose between this game, Georgia, and his 131-yard, 3-touchdown game against Michigan State.
All games were worthy of it, but all things considered, these were his three best.
Hopefully this combo can get back to their college level and help save Harrison Jr.'s career before the doubt becomes too significant.
