The Texas Longhorns offense will be the best one Ohio State will face for several weeks. Here are three players to look out for, not named Arch Manning.

The Texas Longhorns are going to present the biggest challenge that the Ohio State Buckeyes will face for the next month.

The Buckeyes got a nice warm-up game in last week against Ball State, and they will get a solid recovery game in next week against Kent State before a decent start to their Big Ten schedule.

It will all be for nothing if they go down to Austin, Texas, and come up empty against the Longhorns. This will truly be one of the best games of the entire college football season. I won't go so far as to say this is a playoff matchup preview, but these teams are absolutely loaded.

Just as the Buckeyes' offense is one of the showstoppers in this game, the Longhorns' offensive attack is equally hyped up.

Texas has the potential to be one of the great offenses in the entire country, and maybe, just maybe, this is the year that playcaller Steve Sarkisian puts it all together to make a run through the College Football Playoffs.

Everyone knows the quarterback, Arch Manning. Here are three players, not named Manning, to keep your eye on come Saturday night.

Wide Receiver, No. 1, Ryan Wingo

Ryan Wingo is definitely to the first name that comes to mind when people thing of the Texas wide receiving core. We'll get to that other guy in a minute because Wingo announced to the world in week one that he is here for a monster season in 2026.

Wingo is coming off of his best season in college when he went for just north of 800 yards in his sophomore year. He is back with vengeance this year; in week one, he went for 121 yards on seven catches, finding the end zone once on Saturday. He is a speedster who can play in both the slot and on the outside. He will be a matchup problem for the Buckeyes.

Wide Receiver, No. 8, Cam Colemen

Cam Coleman is absolutely the most intriguing Longhorn player on this entire roster. He is the Jeremiah Smith archetype and brings a similar frame to the Texas offense. This is not to say that they are similar in terms of skill level, but he is the closest that Smith has to a peer in college football.

Coleman stands at 6'3" and weighs 204 pounds. He has a limitless catch radius and is a threat to all levels of the field. The Longhorns' offense starts with him, and the Buckeyes will absolutely have to contain him if they want to have a chance to win the football game.

Left Tackle, No. 74, Trevor Goosby

Trevor Goosby sent all of Texas Nation into a panic during fall camp when he suffered a knee injury, and they were unsure of its severity of it. It turned out to be just a bone bruise, and Goosby was week-to-week. He returned before the Texas State game and is expected to be a full go against the Buckeyes.

As far as bookend offensive tackles go, Goosby is one of the elite ones. He is a massive human being. He stands at 6'7" tall while tipping the scales at 325 pounds. He is an elite tackle, and the Buckeyes, if they want to get pressure on Manning, will have to get creative to generate it.

Ohio State and Texas square off on Saturday night at 7:30 PM EST.
