Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq all but cemented his case to be a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft with his monstrous performance at the scouting combine in Indianapolis earlier this month.
Sadiq played three years at Oregon before deciding to take his talents to the league.
Before the scouting combine, there was chatter in the league that Sadiq could be a top-10 pick, which isn't a common spot for a tight end.
With that being said, Sadiq isn't a normal tight end, and offers NFL teams versatility.
During his show on Monday, college football analyst Joel Klatt predicted that the Los Angeles Rams would select Sadiq with the No. 13 pick.
“The reigning MVP (Matthew Stafford) still has a lot of juice left, at least in my estimation," Klatt said.
"And there's a player, the man I just, I love the thought of (head coach) Sean McVay having Kenyon Sidiq the tight end from Oregon on his roster, because he's so versatile. He's a great blocker, but he's also incredibly athletic."
Klatt thinks Sadiq gives Stafford a security blanket as wide receiver Davane Adams returns to the Rams one year older. The young tight end can also open the middle of the field.
Sadiq can also run block. Oregon head coach Dan Lanning told Klatt to look up film of Sadiq's blocking capabilities.
“And so I did. And it was impressive, man. This guy gets after it," Klatt said. "He's not just a good blocker. I think he can be a great blocker. What does that do?
"Well, it gives you so much versatility as an offensive play caller. You can sit in there, keep tight ends on the field, and you can run the football well. You can get to that play action game, which is what they thrive in under Sean McVay.”
The Rams would be an ideal place for Sadiq to end up if indeed they go that route with the No. 13 pick. He'd be paired with a top offensive coach, quarterback and on a roster that is expected to compete for the Super Bowl in 2026.
