The Oregon Ducks and head coach Dan Lanning received a surprising update from one of the program's top targets in the 2027 recruiting class on Wednesday evening.
The Oregon Ducks and head coach Dan Lanning have been on a tear throughout their time on the 2027 recruiting trail this offseason.
So far, the Ducks’ upcoming recruiting class features a total of 13 commits, with four-star EDGE Rashad Streets being the top prospect within the group. However, Lanning’s quest to land his first five-star commit had a bump in the road earlier this week.
According to a social media post on Wednesday evening, five-star interior offensive lineman and Oregon target Ismael Camara announced that he plans to cancel all of his official visits this summer.
“…I have decided not to take any Official Visits this summer,” Camara wrote. “The personal challenge I set for myself two years ago (when I got here), completing high school in just 2.5 years to early enroll in 2027, demands my full commitment.”

This summer, the highly-touted offensive lineman was set to take an official visit to Oregon on Jun 14, while also making trips to SMU, Texas A&M, LSU, and Texas.
In addition to announcing that he is not taking any official visits this summer, Camara explained his reasoning, stating that he has to be there for his teammates during summer workouts.
“As a team captain, I got to be here for my teammates during summer workouts,” Camara stated. “This is my final season, last year was my first on varsity, and we fell short. This year, we’re determined not to let that happen.”
While it remains unclear as to Camara’s plans for college, Lanning and his coaching staff have already done a terrific job of addressing the offensive line within the 2027 class this offseason. Earlier this month, Oregon landed four-star interior offensive lineman Gus Corsair, who is currently the No. 1 prospect in the state of Kansas, per 247Sports’ Composite.
In addition to Corsair, the Ducks possess two four-star offensive tackles in Cameron Wagner and Avery Mitchell, with both prospects announcing their commitment to the program this offseason.
