Oregon Ducks star becomes the third quarterback taken in a new 2027 NFL Mock Draft.
The Oregon Ducks came into the 2026 college football season ready to win the National Championship.
But in the first game of the season, the Ducks got more than they expected, with Boise State almost upsetting them. Oregon was able to hold on for the big win, but this game showed that anyone could take them down.
Within the game, quarterback Dante Moore looked very good, throwing for 378 yards and three touchdowns. Moore enters his second season as the Ducks' starting quarterback, giving him more familiarity with the entire system.
Much of the Ducks' success this season will rely on Moore and his ability to carry the team. This is why he is viewed as a top prospect in the upcoming NFL Draft, with Moore forgoing the league this past year.
Moore decided to return to the Ducks to win a title, and NFL scouts will surely be watching him closely. The Ducks' signal-caller is a smooth leader who possesses the needed skills to play in the NFL.
In a new mock draft by the Bleacher Report Scouting Department, Moore gets taken in the top five. But he goes later than some people would expect.
Within the mock draft, Moore heads to the Cleveland Browns with the No. 4 overall pick. But he is the third quarterback taken in this mock, behind Arch Manning of Texas and Darian Mensah of Miami.
"The Cleveland Browns' decision to make Deshaun Watson their long-term quarterback has not produced the results the franchise hoped for. Granted, Shedeur Sanders must prove himself as well. In the end, the Browns are likely looking for another quarterback next April, with Oregon's Dante Moore arguably the best fit for the franchise's needs," The Bleacher Report Scouting Department wrote.
Going to the Browns would be interesting since Cleveland hasn't had success at the position in a long time. But Moore has the talent to turn the franchise around, and the Browns could definitely use his services.
Manning has been a consensus pick to be the first quarterback taken for a long time, but Mensah being here is interesting. Now with the Hurricanes, Mensah has more eyes on him, and he could end up being taken before Moore.
But Moore can put his name in a better place by going out and performing up to par this year. If Moore can dominate on the field while leading the Ducks to the promised land, he could end up being the first quarterback taken.
