With the two schools battling for many of the same recruits, there's bound to be some bad blood between the two schools that are already rivals.

The University of Oregon had one of the best football teams in the entire country last year, and if it wasn't for Indiana University, they could have won the whole thing. This season, they'll be returning just as good a program, if not better, under Dan Lanning.

They have 66% of the production from last season returning, with some other players like Evan Stewart and Jamari Johnson set to break out as well.

Part of why Oregon has been able to remain in the upper echelon of college football is due to its expert-level recruiting. The University of Oregon has now had three straight seasons of being ranked in the top-five of recruiting classes in the nation.

Recently, though, one of their conference rivals has been able to snag two top recruits away from Eugene, and the two programs have been fighting over many others in the Southern California area.

The USC social media team took its chance to shed light on that fact.

USC Social Media Team Fires Shots at Oregon

USC's social media team released the video above on Wednesday night, seemingly as a shot at the Ducks for signing 4-star CB out of Los Angeles and Mater Dei, Danny Lang.

The video is of vibrant green turf being slowly spray-painted red with the words, "Guess the grass wasn't greener," at the end of the video. While not directly calling out Oregon, it's clear who this was intended for.

This is the second solid recruit in the secondary that USC has won away from Oregon just this month. Earlier in March, the Trojans also signed 4-star athlete Honor Fa'alave-Johnson, who's one of the fastest players in the entire country.

These are certainly wins for the USC football program, but if you're the Ducks, this is far from anything to be seriously worried about.

Anyone who's followed not only college football, but really any sport for that matter, knows that despite us living in the age of social media, games are still very much won and lost on the field of play.

In the last ten matchups between these two schools, Oregon is 8-2, with their most recent meeting being an absolute beatdown for Oregon as they beat USC 42-27.

USC is undoubtedly good enough to be a rival and possibly even a threat this season, but they're far from being good enough against the Ducks to warrant a video like this.
