Alright, so let's follow this one along, because it's a story that has changed wildly over the last six weeks.
In early December of 2025, popular rapper Toosii, real name Na'jour Grainger, posted on Instagram that he was going to play football at Syracuse University in 2026.
A former high school football player who was born and raised in Syracuse, Grainger is now 26 years old. Playing college football was clearly a dream for him and it was apparent that SU was going to allow him to make it a reality. A wide receiver, Grainger also revealed on social media that he had an offer from Sacramento State.
Then last week, Syracuse head coach Fran Brown went on 'Cuse Sports Talk and threw water on that idea. Brown made it sound like he had planned to give Grainger a chance to walk-on, but with so many new additions now via the transfer portal, Brown said he would have to evaluate the situation. He also said that Grainger was still deciding what he wanted to do.
Then, Grainger deleted his Syracuse post on social media, essentially signifying his displeasure with those comments.
Back on Jan. 22, Toosii responded to an "X" user saying that he had actually de-committed from Syracuse.
Then, on a recent Instagram video, Toosii told his side of the story further, calling Brown a "bozo" and accusing him of trying to "save face." Toosii said he de-committed and then Brown tried to spin his own story.
**You can find the video on your own, but there is language that may be offensive to some. We have not posted it here.***
And finally, Toosii posted a new video on Wednesday. He's enrolled in classes at LSU. There's no word on if he's going to try to play for Lane Kiffin's team, but he has enrolled in Baton Rouge and is on campus.
