The Orange schedule continues to become clearer as this date was finalized Tuesday afternoon.
The Syracuse men's basketball program continues to finalize dates and opponents for its upcoming regular season schedule under first-year head coach Gerry McNamara. On Tuesday afternoon, the Orange announced another time and date for a matchup in 2026-27, though this one doesn't have the same gravitas as previous announcements of matchups against Indiana and Providence.
What time and date will Syracuse play Central Connecticut State?
The Orange will host the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils on Nov. 5 inside the JMA Wireless Dome. Last season, the Blue Devils finished with an 18-12 overall record and a 12-6 mark in Northeast Conference play.
The Orange, remember, went 15-17. The group missed the NCAA Tournament for the fifth consecutive year, prompting the firing of previous head coach Adrian Autry in favor of McNamara.
What is the series history between Syracuse and Central Connecticut State?
The November matchup will be just the second time that these two schools have squared off on the hardwood. The most recent matchup was on New Year's Eve 2012, when the Orange defeated the Blue Devils 96-62.
What does the schedule look like now?
The Orange have now confirmed multiple non-conference dates and opponents:
Syracuse will tip off inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis against Indiana on Nov. 9.
Syracuse will play Providence in Boston at the TD Garden on Dec. 19
The Orange will play Oklahoma Dec 1 as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge.
Although Syracuse and St. John's has been discussed to be played at Madison Square Garden, the date and time for this matchup has still yet to be finalized.
Furthermore, the Orange know which ACC opponents they'll be playing - and where - but those dates and times are not out yet.
