Tajon Buchanan will represent Team Canada on the world's biggest stage.
Just days after we learned that Syracuse men's soccer alum Miles Robinson is going to represent Team USA at this summer's World Cup, we learned that another alum is going to play for Team Canada.
As noted by Noah Nussbaum of the Daily Orange, midfielder Tajon Buchanan will play for Canada, marking his second selection for the World Cup team. He will become the first Syracuse alum to play in multiple World Cup's after also making the team in 2022.

About Buchanan
Buchanan spent two years in Central New York, donning the "Block S" in 2017-18 before getting drafted No. 9 overall in the MLS SuperDraft and leaving school. He was taken by the New England Revolution and is currently playing for CF Villareal in Spain's La Liga.
As a freshman, Buchanan was a member of the All-ACC Third Team, and he earned First-Team honors as a sophomore. He led the Orange in scoring as a sophomore with 20 points. He also had a rare hat trick against St. Bonaventure, becoming just the 34th player in school history to record the feat.
In 2022's World Cup, he registered an assist on Canada's first goal.

Friday, June 12 (3 p.m. ET, Toronto) - vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina
Thursday, June 18 (6 p.m. ET, Vancouver) vs. Qatar
Wednesday, June 24 (3 p.m. ET, Vancouver) vs. Switzerland
Canada is playing in Group B and will be looking to advance out of pool play and into the elimination round. The World Cup is being hosted in various sites around North America. We'll have more information on how to watch as games get closer.
