ESPN College GameDay Heads to Fort Worth for TCU-Baylor Showdown cover image

ESPN College GameDay will broadcast live from Fort Worth as No. 12 TCU hosts No. 15 Baylor with the Big 12 title on the line.

FORT WORTH - Fort Worth is about to become the center of the women’s college basketball universe.

For the first time ever, ESPN College GameDay is setting up shop at Schollmaier Arena as No. 12 TCU closes the regular season against rival No. 15 Baylor on March 1.

The live show begins at 10 a.m. CT on ESPN, with tipoff scheduled for 3 p.m. CT - and yes, admission is free.

That alone would make it a landmark day for the program. Add in the stakes? Massive.

TCU (24-4, 12-3 Big 12) sits atop the conference standings entering the final stretch, chasing what could be a program-defining regular-season championship.

Baylor (23-6, 14-4) is right there in the hunt, tied for second with West Virginia.

The Horned Frogs hold the head-to-head edge over the Mountaineers, but this rivalry clash could ultimately determine who cuts down the nets.

And if you need a reminder of what happened the last time these two met, Olivia Miles delivered one of the greatest performances in Big 12 history.

The All-American guard erupted for 40 points and drained 10 3-pointers in an 83-67 win over the Bears on Feb. 12. It was a statement that Baylor hasn’t forgotten.

GameDay’s presence underscores just how far TCU women’s basketball has climbed under head coach Mark Campbell. National ranking. Conference title chase. Sold-out energy building in Fort Worth.

Christine Williamson will host the broadcast alongside analyst Andraya Carter and former WNBA All-Star Chiney Ogwumike, shining a national spotlight on a rivalry that suddenly carries championship weight.

Before that, the Horned Frogs still have Iowa State to handle Sunday. But make no mistake ... March 1 is circled, highlighted and bolded.
