Freshman phenoms Nathan Miller and Sam Udovich ignite TCU's climb, keeping them sixth as the team eyes a strong finish at Watersound.

TCU’s youth movement is shining bright in Florida. Behind another strong showing from freshmen Nathan Miller and Sam Udovich, the Horned Frogs remain in sixth place after two rounds at the Watersound Invitational in Panama City Beach.

TCU shaved five strokes off its opening-round score, firing a 5-under 275 on Tuesday to sit at 5-under 555 heading into Wednesday’s final round.

Miller delivered the round of the day for the Frogs. The freshman carded a season-best 4-under 66, highlighted by a scorching stretch on holes 5-9 where he played the five-hole run at 4-under par.

Miller’s seven birdies helped him climb 17 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for fifth place at 5-under 135.

Udovich continued his steady play with a 2-under 68, moving into a tie for 14th at 3-under 137. The freshman duo has set the tone all week, giving TCU a pair of legitimate contenders near the top of the individual standings.

Toby Wilt also made a move on Tuesday. After an opening-round 71, Wilt responded with a 2-under 69 to sit at even par overall and tied for 31st. His two-stroke improvement added valuable depth to TCU’s team total.

Charlie Wylie posted a 2-over 72 and is tied for 48th at 3-over 143, while Jack Beauchamp sits at 5-over for the tournament.

Competing individually, Hudson Wilt delivered one of the biggest jumps of the day.

The sophomore bounced back from a 72 on Monday with a 3-under 67, vaulting 24 spots into a tie for 23rd at 1-under 139.

With a shotgun start scheduled for 9 a.m. CT on Wednesday, TCU will look to build on its momentum and climb the leaderboard. If the freshmen keep rolling, the Horned Frogs could make a serious push in the final round.
