TCU opens its home slate with a date against Grambling inside Fort Worth's Amon G Carter Stadium.

After an early opener and immediate week off to start the season, TCU is ready to return and finally make its debut in Fort Worth.

The opponent stepping into Amon G. Carter Stadium to face the Horned Frogs is none other than Grambling.

TCU will look to bounce back from that aforementioned opener, which saw the Horned Frogs fall in Dublin to North Carolina 15-10 in a frankly disappointing display.

And history is on the side of the Horned Frogs in the return to their hometown.

In the last 18 seasons, TCU has emerged victorious in the first game to take place at Amon G. Carter Stadium, whether it be to open the season or rather just the home opener.

But games are not won simply based on trends or past history, which this latest team is already well aware of, and there is plenty that TCU will need to tighten up against the Tigers.

In the matchup with the Tar Heels, the offense started off with a bang by scoring 10 points early but ended with a whimper after being held scoreless for the final three quarters by Bill Belichick's defense.

Touted Harvard transfer quarterback Jaden Craig left much to be desired in his first action as a Horned Frog, as he finished with just 175 yards and no touchdowns through the air.

No offense to their opponent, but there is no greater time than now for the Horned Frogs to prove themselves this season than with Grambling coming to town.

For Grambling, it enters the Lone Star State looking for one of the most improbable upsets of the young college football season.

Hailing from the SWAC in the FCS, the Tigers are off to a spotless 2-0 start to their season, with Central State the most recent foe to be ousted in 48-26 win.

However, these early opponents are much different than a Big 12 school like TCU, especially inside its own home arena in front of a crowd anxious to welcome their team for the first time this year.

The last time the Grambling State rolled into Fort Worth, TCU sent them packing in rousing fashion with a 56-0 splattering of the Tigers.

That is also the lone time the two teams have squared off with each other, as the Horned Frogs will look to keep their pristine record in tact while achieving all their other goals for the week in the process.
