Kirk Saarloos’ theatrical ejection became the viral moment as Oklahoma State beat TCU 9-2 to grab the Big 12 series in Stillwater.
TCU baseball’s 9-2 loss to Oklahoma State on Saturday at O’Brate Stadium had Big 12 standings implications, but the moment everyone will remember didn’t come from a swing, pitch or defensive gem.
It came from Horned Frogs coach Kirk Saarloos, turning an ejection into full-blown theater.
In the bottom of the seventh, a replay review changed a call at third base, and Saarloos wasn’t buying it. The TCU skipper came out hot, argued his case with the umpiring crew and was eventually tossed.
That’s when things got unforgettable.
Instead of making the usual quick walk to the clubhouse, Saarloos took his time. With briefcase in hand and his players watching from the dugout, he slowly made his way toward left field in a stone-faced exit that instantly felt destined for college baseball internet fame.
Oklahoma State didn’t waste the momentum. The Cowboys scored shortly after the ejection and kept control from there, pulling away to secure the series win over TCU.
The result matters plenty. Oklahoma State and TCU remain tied for fifth in the Big 12, making every game down the stretch important as both programs fight for positioning before the conference tournament.
But Saturday’s viral image belonged to Saarloos, whose dramatic walk-off became the kind of dugout moment fans replay, share and joke about for days.
For TCU, the frustration is obvious. A close game turned sideways late, and a replay ruling helped ignite the defining sequence.

For Oklahoma State, it was another strong conference win at home and a chance to build momentum in a crowded Big 12 race.
For everyone else? Saarloos’ ejection was the show-stealer.
