No. 8 TCU closes the regular season Friday against Stephen F. Austin in Fort Worth, with Senior Day festivities and postseason momentum on the line.

No. 8 TCU beach volleyball returns home Friday to finish the regular season against Stephen F. Austin, and the Horned Frogs have plenty to celebrate as they head into postseason play.

The Fort Worth matchup gives TCU one more chance to sharpen its lineup, honor its senior class and build momentum before the conference and national tournaments begin.

The biggest storyline is still the standard this program has created. TCU beach volleyball enters the weekend as the defending national champion after breaking through in 2025 and becoming the first school outside UCLA or USC to win the NCAA title.

That championship run changed the national conversation around the Horned Frogs, and they’ve stayed in the spotlight ever since.

This season has looked different, though. TCU had to replace much of the group that powered last year’s title run, with only four starters from the 2025 NCAA Tournament lineup back on the sand.

That made roster construction a major offseason project, and the Frogs answered by leaning on returning standouts Sofia Izuzquiza, Anhelina Khmil, Stacy Reeves and Deniela Konstantinova while adding experienced transfers Anna Long, Adriana Serrano Ferro and Natalie Glenn.

That mix of continuity and new faces has helped TCU remain one of the sport’s elite programs.

Since 2021, the Horned Frogs have been one of the winningest teams in college beach volleyball, and head coach Hector Gutierrez has been at the center of that rise. Now in his 10th season, Gutierrez has built a 236-88 career record and turned TCU into a national contender.

Friday’s dual also carries some emotion. TCU will recognize seven seniors after the match, adding a Senior Day feel to the regular-season finale.

Fans will get free admission and a trucker hat giveaway while supplies last.

For TCU, this is more than one last home date. It’s the final tune-up before another postseason push.
