TCU basketball is making a modern power move, hiring Allen Huddleston to lead NIL strategy and front office operations for both programs.
FORT WORTH - TCU basketball just made a move that says plenty about where college hoops is headed.
The Horned Frogs have hired Allen Huddleston as general manager for both the TCU men’s and women’s basketball programs, giving the school a dedicated front-office leader at a time when NIL, roster building and external partnerships matter as much as ever.

Huddleston will help drive TCU basketball’s NIL strategy, build outside relationships and oversee front office operations for both programs. In the modern game, that’s a massive piece of the puzzle.
Huddleston arrives in Fort Worth after serving as general manager at Fresno State in 2025 under head coach Vance Walberg.
That stop was also a homecoming, as Huddleston returned to his alma mater to help reshape how the Bulldogs handled the business side of college basketball.
His background isn’t limited to the court, either.
Before jumping deeper into college athletics, Huddleston worked as chief of staff at Thuma, a San Francisco-based furniture company.
That experience in scaling operations, organizing teams and building structure should translate well to a college basketball landscape that now moves fast and demands real strategy.
Huddleston also has coaching chops.
While working at Thuma, he served as head coach at Merced College and led the 2023 team to a record-setting season and a top-10 ranking in California.
Two of his players moved on to NCAA Division I programs, while six more advanced to the NAIA level.
As a player, Huddleston was a Central California star, scoring a Merced High School record 2,117 career points and earning Sports Illustrated “Faces in the Crowd” recognition in 2008.
He later played at Pacific and Fresno State, where he was a two-year captain and helped the Bulldogs reach the 2014 CBI Championship Series.
