TCU baseball and Baylor will play a Sunday doubleheader in Waco after Saturday’s game was postponed by weather. Game 1 is set for 1 p.m. on ESPN+.

TCU baseball will now try to salvage its weekend series against Baylor with a Sunday doubleheader after bad weather forced Saturday’s game off the schedule in Waco.

The updated plan calls for two games on Sunday, with Game 1 set for 1 p.m. CT. Both matchups will be available on ESPN+.

That change gives the Horned Frogs a quick turnaround and a big challenge as they look to rebound from Friday night’s opener.

Baylor grabbed the first game of the series with an 11-4 win, putting TCU in catch-up mode heading into the final day of the weekend.

The Horned Frogs enter Sunday at 22-15 overall and 8-8 in Big 12 play, so there’s plenty at stake in the standings.

A doubleheader sweep would completely change the feel of the series and give TCU a much-needed conference boost.

On the other side, Baylor has the early edge and the chance to build on it with two more home games in one day.

Weather delays are always part of the college baseball grind this time of year, but they can also reshape a series in a hurry.

Pitching depth, bullpen management, and energy become even more important when two games are packed into one afternoon.

For TCU, Sunday now carries a little more urgency. Instead of trying to even the series in Game 2, the Frogs will have to navigate an entire doubleheader just to leave Waco feeling better about the weekend.
