TCU baseball returns to Lupton Stadium Tuesday to face Dallas Baptist, opening a five-game homestand with momentum after a big road series win.

TCU baseball heads back to Fort Worth on Tuesday night with a chance to keep its momentum rolling.

The Horned Frogs open a five-game homestand at Lupton Stadium against Dallas Baptist, wrapping up the season series after rallying for an 11-5 win over the Patriots earlier this spring.

TCU enters the midweek matchup at 24-15 and feeling better about its position after a strong weekend at Baylor.

The Frogs swept a Sunday doubleheader on the road to lock down another Big 12 series victory, and they’ve continued to show a knack for bouncing back when games get messy.

TCU already has 13 comeback wins this season, including 10 after trailing by multiple runs, which says plenty about the toughness of this group.

The offense has helped fuel that surge. Over the last 15 games, TCU has launched 24 home runs and pushed its season total to 47.

The Frogs have also been one of the more patient teams in the country, drawing 236 walks, a mark that ranks among the national leaders.

Chase Brunson is coming off a huge showing at Baylor, where he hit .500 and drove in six runs, including all five in Sunday’s opener.

There’s also been a defensive edge to TCU’s recent success. The Frogs have turned 38 double plays this season, leading the Big 12 and ranking among the best totals in the nation.

That clean, timely defense has paired well with steady work on the mound, including another strong weekend from Lance Davis and Zack James.

Dallas Baptist comes in at 23-17 and brings a dangerous lineup.

The Patriots are hitting .291 as a team and have crushed 77 home runs, putting them among the top power teams in college baseball. Cooper Neville leads DBU with a .346 batting average, while Chayton Krauss and Ryan Martin have each hit 12 homers.

TCU is expected to start left-hander Nolan Johnson on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+, with the Frogs looking to build on a season that’s starting to gather real traction.
