TCU baseball has won back-to-back Big 12 series, and the Horned Frogs are showing the depth, toughness and pitching needed to make a real run.

TCU baseball is starting to look like a team nobody will want to face in Big 12 play.

After winning its second straight conference series by taking down Kansas State, the Horned Frogs are building momentum with a formula that goes beyond simple box score production.

This recent stretch has shown TCU baseball can lean on resilience, improved pitching depth and a lineup that’s becoming tougher to navigate from top to bottom.

That matters because not long ago, the mood around the program looked very different. A home series loss to UCF raised real questions about where the season was headed.

But baseball seasons can turn quickly, and TCU has responded the right way. Instead of folding after setbacks, the Horned Frogs have kept competing, and now they’re seeing the results.

The biggest development may be on the mound. Zack James has elevated his game at a crucial point in the season, delivering dominant outings and giving TCU a dependable weekend arm.

Lance Davis has also provided steadiness, giving the Horned Frogs a strong one-two punch in conference play. If Mason Brassfield finds his best form down the stretch, TCU’s rotation could become one of the more dangerous groups in the league.

The bullpen is also beginning to settle in. Transfers Tanner Sagouspe and Walter Quinn have helped give TCU more reliable late-game options, which is critical for a team trying to stack series wins in the Big 12.

Offensively, the lineup is getting contributions from everywhere. Freshman catcher Brady Dallimore is emerging as an important piece with his power and defensive value behind the plate.

Transfers Jack Bell, Preston Gamster and Colton Griffin are settling into bigger roles, while Cole Cramer, Sawyer Strosnider and Chase Brunson continue to anchor the attack.

That balance is what makes TCU dangerous. The Horned Frogs don’t need to win one way. They’ve shown they can outslug teams, but they can also win behind pitching and timely execution.

Right now, TCU looks like a team finding its identity at exactly the right time.
