Sawyer Strosnider homered twice as TCU crushed UT Arlington 12-1, pushing its winning streak to seven games.

FORT WORTH - TCU baseball is heating up at the right time, and Sawyer Strosnider made sure the Horned Frogs’ latest win didn’t last long.

Strosnider blasted two home runs Tuesday night as TCU rolled past UT Arlington 12-1 in a run-rule victory at Lupton Stadium.

The win pushed the Horned Frogs to 29-15 and extended their season-best winning streak to seven games. TCU also finished off a perfect five-game homestand.

UT Arlington briefly grabbed a 1-0 lead in the second inning, but TCU answered quickly. Rob Liddington worked an 11-pitch at-bat before launching a two-run homer to give the Frogs a 2-1 lead.

Strosnider followed with his first homer in the third, then added another in the sixth for his 11th and 12th home runs of the season.

The game broke open in the fourth, when TCU scored seven runs on seven hits. Jack Bell, Liddington, Lucas Franco, Jack Arthur, Chase Brunson, Noah Franco and Brady Dallimore all helped fuel the inning as the Frogs stretched the lead to 10-1.

Dallimore later added a sixth-inning homer, his sixth career long ball, to help finish the rout.

TCU finished with 12 runs and 14 hits, marking its 14th double-digit scoring game and 20th double-digit hit game of the season. The Frogs also played error-free defense for the 15th time.

On the mound, Noah Franco improved to 2-0, allowing one run over two innings in his first start of the season. Cade Nelson followed with three scoreless innings before Mason Brassfield and Nate Stern closed it out.

TCU now heads into a pivotal Big 12 road series against Oklahoma State beginning Friday on ESPN+.
