TCU baseball closes its home schedule against Utah with postseason pressure, Senior Day celebrations and Lupton Stadium milestones.

FORT WORTH - TCU baseball returns to Lupton Stadium this weekend needing a response.

After getting swept at Oklahoma State, the Horned Frogs head home for their final regular-season series in Fort Worth, hosting Utah in a crucial three-game Big 12 matchup that carries postseason implications and emotional weight for the program.

TCU enters the weekend 29-18 overall and 13-11 in conference play, while Utah arrives at 24-19 and riding a three-game winning streak after a rivalry series win over BYU and a midweek victory against Utah Valley.

The series also marks a farewell weekend for several key figures around the Horned Frogs program.

Before Friday night’s opener, TCU will honor longtime athletic trainer Danny Wheat and veteran pitching coach Dave Lawn as both prepare to retire.

Saturday’s game will feature Senior Day celebrations for the program’s 10 seniors, while Sunday’s finale includes the annual Mother’s Day first pitch tradition.

The Frogs are still searching for momentum after a rough road trip dropped them to No. 51 in the latest RPI rankings. Despite the sweep, TCU’s offense continues to produce explosive numbers.

The Horned Frogs have launched 40 home runs over their last 23 games and now sit with 63 long balls on the season, ranking among the Big 12 leaders.

Brady Dallimore enters the weekend swinging one of the hottest bats on the roster. Over his last six games, Dallimore is hitting .391 with four doubles, three home runs and 11 RBIs.

Chase Brunson also stayed hot in Stillwater, blasting two home runs to reach double-digit homers for the second straight season.

On the mound, TCU will lean on Tommy LaPour, Lance Davis and Zack James in the weekend rotation. Davis delivered his sixth quality start of the season last weekend despite the loss.

Utah brings one of the better offenses in the conference into Fort Worth, batting .309 as a team.

Jet Gilliam leads the Utes with a .378 average, while Jake Long has powered the lineup with 10 home runs and 52 RBIs.

Historically, TCU has dominated the matchup, holding a 29-7 all-time record against Utah and an 11-4 mark against the Utes at Lupton Stadium.
