TCU baseball rides a seven-game winning streak into a key Big 12 road series against Oklahoma State.
TCU baseball is taking its hottest stretch of the season into Stillwater.
The Horned Frogs enter this weekend’s Big 12 series at Oklahoma State on a seven-game winning streak, their longest of the year.
TCU is 29-15 overall and 13-8 in conference play after sweeping Houston and beating UT Arlington.
The timing matters. TCU has climbed to No. 40 in the latest RPI and is trying to strengthen its postseason resume with another Big 12 series win.
The Frogs have done it with late-game resilience and a surging offense. TCU has 17 comeback wins this season, including 10 after trailing by multiple runs.
Three times in the last six games, the Frogs have rallied from an eighth-inning deficit.
Power has also changed the lineup. TCU has hit 33 home runs over its last 20 games and now has 56 on the season.
The Frogs have piled up 36 extra-base hits in their last eight games and rank among the national leaders with 253 walks.
The pitching staff has tightened up, too. TCU went 11-5 in April with a 3.38 ERA, while Tommy LaPour returned from a 72-day injury absence Sunday against Houston.
LaPour starts Friday, followed by Lance Davis on Saturday and Zack James on Sunday.
Oklahoma State is dangerous, especially at the plate. The Cowboys are 28-7 overall and 11-10 in Big 12 play, with 100 home runs, the second-most in the nation.
Kollin Ritchie leads the power surge with 22 homers and 61 RBI.

TCU leads the all-time series 36-31, though the teams didn’t meet last season. The Frogs are 3-3 at O’Brate Stadium.
With both teams chasing postseason positioning, this series has real weight. TCU brings the momentum. Oklahoma State brings the power. Something has to give.
