TCU baseball outlasted Texas Tech 10-9 in 13 innings as Chase Brunson’s walk-off sacrifice fly capped a wild Big 12 win at Lupton Stadium.

TCU baseball delivered one of its wildest wins of the 2026 season Saturday night, outlasting Texas Tech 10-9 in 13 innings at Lupton Stadium to lock up the Big 12 series.

The Horned Frogs needed every bit of offense, relief pitching and late-game composure they could find before Chase Brunson’s walk-off sacrifice fly finally ended the marathon.

The win didn’t come easy. TCU and Texas Tech traded momentum for most of the night, turning the series opener into a back-and-forth battle that felt like it might never end.

But in the bottom of the 13th, the Horned Frogs found the final response. Cole Cramer opened the inning with a single, Sawyer Strosnider followed with a run-scoring double, and Brunson lifted the game-winning fly ball to bring home the deciding run.

TCU’s offense kept punching back all evening. After Texas Tech grabbed an early lead, the Frogs answered with a four-run second inning powered by two-run home runs from Preston Gamster and Cramer.

When the Red Raiders surged again in the third, Brady Dallimore answered with a homer of his own. Later, Noah Franco crushed a two-run shot in the seventh, and Jack Bell added a solo blast in the eighth to help TCU build what looked like a winning edge.

Still, Texas Tech refused to go away and tied the game in the ninth, forcing extra innings and setting up the chaos that followed.

Trever Baumler turned into a huge difference-maker for TCU on the mound. The right-hander covered four innings in relief, allowed just one run and struck out four to steady the Horned Frogs deep into extras.

Tanner Sagouspe also gave TCU a valuable stretch of scoreless relief after starter Lance Davis exited early.

Dallimore made an impact defensively, too, throwing out four attempted base stealers. That kind of all-around effort helped TCU survive a 13-inning test and improve to 16-10 overall and 4-4 in Big 12 play. More importantly, the Frogs now head into Sunday with the series already secured.
