TCU begins the Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship Monday at Prairie Dunes with a loaded field and a confident spring résumé.

FORT WORTH - TCU men’s golf heads to the Big 12 Championship with momentum, depth and a chance to make another run at Prairie Dunes Country Club.

The No. 36 Horned Frogs begin the 72-hole tournament Monday in Hutchinson, Kan., with two rounds scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start.

The event continues Tuesday and wraps Wednesday, with part of the final round airing live on ESPN+.

TCU’s lineup will feature Sam Udovich, Toby Wilt, Jack Beauchamp, Lewis Wright, Nathan Miller and Charlie Wylie.

They’ll face one of the country’s toughest conference fields, including No. 6 Oklahoma State, No. 7 Texas Tech, No. 10 Arizona State, No. 20 Arizona and No. 23 BYU.

Prairie Dunes, a par-70 layout playing 7,025 yards, brings plenty of history. The links-style course has hosted multiple major amateur and championship events, including the 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship.

It also hosted the Big 12 Championship in 2021 and 2023.

The Frogs have reason to like the venue. The last time the Big 12 Championship was held there, TCU finished second at 17-over par, with Maxence Giboudot, Gustav Frimodt and Jacob Skov Olesen all landing in the top 10.

This year’s team has been steady all spring. TCU has finished in the top four in four of its last five tournaments, including runner-up finishes at the Palmas del Mar Collegiate and The Desimone Invitational.

Udovich leads the Frogs with a 70.67 scoring average, followed by Beauchamp at 70.87 and Miller at 71.04. Miller, a freshman from Dallas, won a share of the Watersound Invitational at 9-under 201 and has five top-20 finishes this season.

TCU hasn’t won a team conference title since 2009, but this group enters Kansas with enough form to be dangerous.
