TCU men’s tennis stayed dominant in Fort Worth, beating St. John’s 6-1 as Duncan Chan and Maximus Dussault led another strong home performance.
TCU men’s tennis looked every bit like a top-five team again on Sunday, handling St. John’s 6-1 in Fort Worth and stretching its remarkable home outdoor winning streak to 28 matches.
The Horned Frogs controlled the dual from the start, took the doubles point cleanly and never let the Red Storm build any real momentum.
That fast opening mattered. TCU had dropped the doubles point in each of its previous two matches, so reestablishing control early was a welcome sign.
Duncan Chan and Oliver Bonding set the tone with a 6-1 win at the top spot, while Filip Apltauer and Maximus Dussault backed it up with a 6-3 victory on court three. Just like that, the Horned Frogs grabbed the first point and put St. John’s on its heels.
From there, TCU men’s tennis kept stacking wins in singles. Roger Pascual was first off the court after a smooth 6-1, 6-3 result on court five. Chan followed with another strong showing, defeating Radomir Tomic 6-3, 6-4 to continue his excellent season.
The ITA No. 7 player is now 19-8 in singles and remains one of the biggest reasons TCU keeps thriving in big moments.
Dussault added another highlight by clinching the team victory with a pair of 6-4 sets on court six.
The freshman also helped secure the doubles point earlier, giving him a two-win day. Cooper Woestendick and Albert Pedrico later added straight-set victories of their own, padding the margin and underlining just how deep this lineup can be.
The only point St. John’s managed came on court three, where Bonding dropped a three-set battle that ended in a 10-point super tiebreak. Outside of that, TCU was in firm control nearly everywhere.
Now 15-5 overall, the Horned Frogs continue to make the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center a brutal stop for opponents. TCU has gone 54-3 at home since 2023, a number that says plenty about the standard this program has built.
Next up, the Frogs return to Big 12 play against BYU and Utah before closing the regular season on the road.
