FORT WORTH - TCU women’s basketball has its Thanksgiving destination locked in, and the Horned Frogs won’t be easing into holiday hoops.
TCU will play Georgia Tech and Mississippi State on Nov. 27-28 at the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off, giving Mark Campbell’s program two Power Conference tests in one of the stronger early-season events on the calendar.
The tournament will be played at Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, Florida, and features an eight-team field that includes LSU, NC State, Indiana, Kansas State and Villanova.
Five teams in the event reached the 2026 NCAA Tournament, making this a valuable measuring-stick weekend before conference play arrives.
For TCU, the trip comes after one of the best seasons in program history. The Horned Frogs went 32-6, reached the Elite Eight and finished No. 6 in the final Associated Press poll.
They’re also getting preseason respect, landing No. 14 in ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25 and No. 15 in CBS Sports’ early rankings.
Campbell has quickly turned TCU into a national factor. Over the last three seasons, the Frogs have won 87 games, captured three Big 12 titles and earned 20 AP Top 10 rankings.
TCU also enters the 2026-27 season as one of just four Power Conference programs with back-to-back 30-win seasons.
The Mississippi State matchup brings some recent history.
The Bulldogs beat TCU 68-61 in the second round of the 2024 Women’s Basketball Invitational Tournament, and Mississippi State leads the all-time series 2-1.
The Georgia Tech game will be a first-time meeting.
Tip times will be announced later, with all games airing nationally on Scripps Sports/ION. TCU’s full nonconference schedule is expected in the coming months.
