TCU women’s tennis claimed seven of nine Big 12 All-Tournament honors after a title run that now has the Horned Frogs eyeing the NCAA draw.
FORT WORTH - TCU women’s tennis didn’t just win the Big 12 Tournament. The Horned Frogs practically took over the post-event honors, too.
Fresh off securing the program’s first Big 12 Tournament championship, TCU placed seven players and pairings on the Big 12 All-Tournament Team, a clear sign of just how thoroughly the Frogs controlled the event.
It’s the kind of conference tournament performance that should only strengthen TCU’s case heading into the NCAA Tournament selection show on April 27.
The biggest moment belonged to Raquel Caballero Chica, who delivered the title-clinching point and earned the all-tournament nod at No. 1 singles.
Her finish capped a breakthrough weekend for a TCU team that kept finding answers in pressure matches.
Jennifer Jackson added even more hardware to the haul. The freshman, already named the Big 12 Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, also picked up all-tournament recognition at No. 5 singles after going 3-0.
She came through with another decisive moment in the semifinals, sealing TCU’s victory over Texas Tech and sending the Frogs into the championship match.
TCU’s depth was obvious all over the lineup. Cristina Ramos Sierra went unbeaten at No. 3 singles, finishing 3-0 during the tournament.
Victoria Gomez O’Hayon earned the honor at No. 4 singles after a 2-0 week that included a clincher against Baylor in the quarterfinals. Cayetana Gay rounded out TCU’s singles selections at No. 6.
Doubles was more of the same. Jackson and Caballero Chica were perfect at No. 2 doubles, finishing 3-0.
At No. 3 doubles, Tomi Main and Gay claimed another all-tournament spot as TCU kept piling up wins.

In all, the Frogs grabbed seven of the nine available spots. That kind of showing doesn’t happen by accident.
TCU outscored opponents 12-2 during the tournament, backed up its championship run with dominant results across the lineup, and now heads into the NCAA postseason looking every bit like a team no one will want to face.
